Traditional infusion sets are made of PVC
Jun 28, 2022
Traditional infusion sets are made of PVC. High performance polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) is considered to be a safer and higher performance material for making disposable infusion sets.
Device composition
It is generally composed of intravenous needle, protective cap, Ruhr connector, infusion hose, liquid medicine filter, flow regulator, drip pot, precision filter device, cork puncture device, and air filter connection of air inlet pipe.
Working principle
Under the action of atmospheric pressure, the liquid in the bottle flows into the drip bucket along the thinner infusion hose. When the water column pressure of the drip bucket is greater than the venous pressure, the liquid in the bottle flows into the vein along the hose.
Precautions for use
(1) The product can only be used for gravity infusion.
(2) The product is invalid or the package is damaged. It is strictly prohibited to use.
(3) For one-time use, use immediately after unsealing, and destroy after use.
(4) 20 drops of distilled water is equivalent to 1ml ± 0.1ml.
(5) The suitable temperature is 10 ~ 40 ℃.
(6) The storage and transportation of this product should pay attention to moisture, heat, sun, pressure, etc.
Use guide
(1) Before use, check whether the package is damaged and whether the sheath falls off, otherwise it is not allowed to use.
(2) Close the flow regulator, remove the sheath of the puncture device, insert the puncture device into the infusion bottle, and open the air inlet cover (or insert the air inlet needle).
(3) Hang the infusion bottle upside down and squeeze the drip bucket by hand until the liquid enters about 1/2 of the drip bucket.
(4) Loosen the flow regulator, place the liquid medicine filter horizontally, exhaust the air, and then the infusion can be carried out.
(5) Before use, plug the infusion needle connector tightly to prevent liquid leakage.
(6) Infusion operation should be implemented and monitored by professional nursing personnel.
